MARS NEW YEAR
Mars New Year is a two-day community festival located in Mars, PA dedicated to celebrating the New Year on the red planet. The festival offers fun, immersive, and educational activities for all ages, with exhibits from organizations like NASA, Astrobotic, Aldrin Family Foundation, JPL and more, plus educational STEAM activities, and high-impact space-related programming. WINNER OF THE SPOT ON AWARD
Mars New Year received the Spot On Innovation Award for being the most innovative festival in the state of Pennsylvania. Mars Mayor Gregg Hartung and Butler County Tourism Director Amy Pack display the award at the PA Restaurant & Lodging Association's annual conference on October 23, 2023 in Bedford.

MARS STEAM CHALLENGE
Join the Mars New Year Festival's STEAM Challenge, for students worldwide in Grades 3-12. Participants engage in solving a unique STEAM challenge, vying for substantial cash prizes. This competition launches ahead of the festival, with the opportunity to present your project alongside NASA and industry professionals during the event on June 6-7, 2025. Winners will be announced at the festival, making it a global showcase of innovation and creativity.
