Breakfast with NASA

Invitation to select students for Breakfast with NASA March 22

For the third time, the town of Mars, PA, will join together with NASA and ring in the planet Mars’ New Year. The Mars New Year Celebration is a collaboration with Mars Borough and NASA divisions from across the country, inspired by exploration, innovation and celebration. The festival coincides with the planet Mars’ New Year, which occurs every 687 days and falls on Saturday, March 23, 2019 this year.

To kick off the Mars New Year Celebration we will be hosting a “Breakfast with NASA” where Dr. James Green, NASA Chief Scientist, will address the students with talks about space travel, humans visiting the planet Mars and the importance of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math in both work and recreation.

This STEAM Educational event will take place on Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Regional Learning Alliance Center at 9:00 AM where a continental-style breakfast will be served, free of charge.

The Breakfast with NASA is open to juniors and seniors from local area High Schools and we’d like to invite you to participate. Due to the seating capacity, we are asking that you select 10-12 juniors and seniors from your school to attend this once in a lifetime opportunity to listen to a world class scientist from NASA!

Registration will start at 9:00 AM and the presentation will begin at 9:45 AM.  There will be a light breakfast provided for attendees and the event will be over by 12:00 PM.

Please RSVP via email below to Mayor Gregg Hartung or Missy Gralish and contact us if you have questions and/or suggestions.
